We headed off to Belfast to visit friends of Mikes - Joan McCann and family. It was a lovely trip and good to catchup with these warm, lovely people who make you feel like a million dollars just by being in their company. Spent the night after a Belfast pub night out and then headed off for the Titanic Exhibition... it was amazing in scope and they spared no expense making this a 'big deal'. It was a long weekend for Dublin and we headed home for rest before back to work on...

Dublin has been very kind to us, learning the bus/train system has been challenging as we couldnt get a car as they wouldnt insure anyone who has not been here 12 months. So we have been finally enjoying the bus travel. Moved into the house for the duration of our time on 1st Aug.. It is lovely albeit olde! It is an 1850 single story semi-detached tenement, which was part of the Guinness houses for people working in the factory!

Evening all... it is Sunday evening. Had a big learning curve this week with work, buses and travel in this small, dense Dublin city. We did have every intention of buying car but not able to now, due to the insurance costing so much and having to take it out for a year.... so, decided not to bother. So bus travel was it... and that in itself was a big deal for we 2 - 50 somethings... It was exhilerating and frustrating in part as it made us feel 18 again but when we got lost or...

Have spent much time trying to buy car..and every insurance company has strict prohibitions on international travellers unless we have lived here 12 months- we are unable to manage this!!! So, we are now going to bus/train/walk everywhere for the first leg of this adventure.

Have met workplace colleagues, clients/kids and visited the rehab today. The Coolmine TC is a very antiquated but well maintained building which houses the female clients with / without children. ...
